Sanmon gate in early summer

This watercolor sketch depicts a temple gate enveloped in vibrant fresh greenery. It captures the essence of early summer light pouring from above, and the dappled sunlight it casts upon the weathered tiled roof and stone steps. The depth of the lush green visible beyond the gate evokes a sense of tranquility and a pleasant tension. The gentle movement of the breeze through the leaves and the refreshing atmosphere seem to breathe on the paper. I hope this piece brings a touch of cooling serenity and quiet Japanese elegance to your home.
